Finally Apple approves Google+ app for iPhone.Process took twice as long as 95% of App Store submissions

Apple yesterday approved the Google+ app for the iPhone, and posted it to the App Store. So far an iPhone version of Google+ was available. It’s unclear whether Google has created an iPad-specific app. Google+, the social network that launched earlier this month but still remains in field trials, already boasts 10 million users , Google CEO Larry Page said last week during the company’s quarterly earnings call with Wall Street analysts. The app may not be available to everyone immediately, said Vic Gundotra , who heads Google’s social division. I have just installed it on my IPhone, it looks good.

DownIoad: Indian GSM Subscriber figures for May 2011 , All India total reaches 590.19 million

Indian GSM telecom operators added 9.53 million subscribers in May, taking the all-India GSM cellular subscriber base to 590.19 million Bharti Airtel , the largest GSM player, added 2.45 million users in May, taking its total subscriber base to 167.06 million. It had a market share of 28.31% at the end of May. Aditya Birla group firm Idea Cellular added 1.80 million users during the month to take its total user base to 93.75 million. Vodafone Essar , with a 23.62% market share, notched up 2.44 million new subscribers during the month. Its subscriber base stood at 139.42 million. Meanwhile, Aircel added 1.11 million customers to take its subscriber base to 57.06 million. State-run telecom firms BSNL and MTNL added 0.47 million and 20,604 new users, respectively, taking their subscriber base to 87.61 million and 5.23 million, respectively. India’s mobile phone subscriber base up by 20.2 million in February news

With the addition of 20.2 million new subscribers in February, India’s total mobile phone subscription touched 791.38 million towards the end of the month, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) said. There was a marginal drop in the number of wireline phones during the month. But the total number of phone subscribers (both wireless and wireline) rose to 826.25 million, resulting in a tele-density of 69.29. India is the fastest-growing wireless phone market in the world, and the second in terms of numbers after China. Source

Bharti Hopes 3G Will Boost Revenue

Bharti Airtel Ltd. said Thursday it expects third-generation services to help improve its average revenue per user–a key gauge of profitability for mobile phone operators. Bharti Airtel, India’s largest mobile phone operator by users, currently offers 3G services in seven cities and plans to extend the service in all the 13 telecom areas where it has bandwidth by the end of this month.
